I was stationed with John aboard the aircraft carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1962/63. He was Disbursing Officer and my superior officer. He was truly a great young man and I thought I was lucky to be with him. He was a couple of years older than me, and I knew he would be a success. His intelligence was obvious. Very sorry to hear of his passing, may god bless his family and may he rest in peace.

I worked with John at Mennen many years ago. He was both extraordinarily bright and extraordinarily kind. We had many conversations about our families and it was quite clear how proud he was of all of you, and that he put family first. May he rest in peace.
