Not sure what to say?

I never knew Dr Barranger in person but in 2011 he helped me in a way no one else ever has. His help touched me again yesterday and I just had to say thanks for his love, compassion and wisdom. I wish I was more like he was, and also hope wherever he is now that he knows he is still living in our memories and loved.

Every time give my son his enzyme replacement for his MPS 1 or i meet a new doctor and they talk to fast or to "doctory" I say a thank you to Dr. Barranger who taught us/me how to navigate through this process. He is truly missed with the Mosley family. He is truly never forgotten Andrue is doing well and thank you. This is him in Liverpool UK

John and I were friends in college and lab partners during the first years at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Then he went on to California to pursue his special interests. I just learned of his death. I always knew was destined for greatness. And,it came to pass.

,John was.a special friend I knew when we were fellows at NIH. Even then he was concerned about cardiac disease in his family. Sadly his concern was realized even though he outlived his parents,
He was not with us long enough.

To Erin Barranger and your children and to John's sisters and brothers. John and I spent 4 great years together in the Biology Department at Loyola College, Baltimore. He was a wonderful friend and a generous collaborator in our studies and helped me frequently with understanding topics in physiology and biochemistry. I'll never forget that how sensitively he shepherded me back to the Department Chair's office when my father called to tell me that my mother had died unexpectedly that...

Dear Erin and Family:
Dr. Barranger was so kind and encouraging to me. I owe what I achieved so far as a lab technician to his kindness as a boss and a mentor. Now I am first author of 5 publications (all on important journals) and co author of several dozens of papers. I wish he knew I am proud of myself. I have been always remembering him as a wise man with great sense of humor. He is a considerate and forgiving father.

We only heard today of Dr. Barranger 's untimely passing. We had the honor of meeting him last year. A brilliant, compassionate man. We are among hundreds of families that benefited from his tireless work. We have lost a hero in the Fabry community . Thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. May you find peace in knowing that he touched so many lives.

I was a patient in one of his original studies over 20 years ago at NIH. His work has blessed my life. I'm grateful for his life and legacy.
