The U.S. Marines, Navy Fleet Marine Force Corpsmen, FMF Chaplains, and Associate Members of the E. T Brisson Detachment #063 of the Marine Corps League in Naples, Florida, hereby salute and recognize Marine John Henry Barry for serving God and his country by becoming a United States Marine. We honor his memory and valiant service to our Corps and our great Nation. Please accept our heartfelt sentiments as a token of our esteem and admiration of his L'Esprit du Corps. Semper Fidelis.

John was Mr. Positive and while an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor Western, he was extremely nice to my father Richard Leslie (pictured) who was a Charter Member of the Club and remained a member for 50 years. The good lord blessed John as major contributor to his and the lives of others- including a wonderful family. Praise God! Hebrews 11:1

So sorry for your loss. I originally was reading this obituary and thought it was a friend of mine's father who is also named Barry. But it turned out that I know you also from years ago at the UM. So I had to tell you how sorry I am after reading the obituary what a lovely person he was. God Bless your family during this difficult time. You both may or may not remember me. But the sentiments are the same.

Patty and Mike Melcher, I just wanted to express my sincere condolences to you, your children and your family on the loss of your dad, father-in-las and grandfather. May God be with you during this very sad time. Hugs to all of you.
