Not sure what to say?

Hey John, Im a bit late, sorry. Anyways, thanks for the upbringing, for the passion of travel, languages, culture, cooking, living fully, and everything else you gave me. Its great to see all the comments from those I knew and those I didn't. I'm passing many of your recipes, styles, and music in the kitchen to my sons here in Japan. Love, Ryan

I worked with Dr Barsotti when I moved back to Rochester in 1992 after 6 years in the Navy. I was a young MRI Tech that was under his direction and I'll always remember him. He was a good man to work for. Prayers and condolences to his friends and family.

I just stumbled upon this recently and am still saddened to learn that John is gone...so hard to believe, as he was so, so full of life...you always knew when John entered a room with that megawatt smile!
I spent a lot of time with him in the late sixties (!) when he was working in SF; he was fun, sweet, and absolutely fearless! Super friendly, ever curious, and always willing to help out...even strangers stranded by the roadside! He was a wonderful guy, and I'm eternally grateful that...

I haven't seen John since his mother's funeral. He is my cousin on the Barsotti side. Sorry to hear of this news.

Dear Donna, I've been trying to reach John for the past few years and just now found out what happened. I knew John from the San Fran State years, first met him in 1970 and shared an office with him at the computer center. I'm very saddened right now. He last visited my wife and me about 12 years ago. I'll miss his humor and smile.

Dear John, when Paul Pedrotti called me I knew it wasn't going to be good news. Here I am at almost 10 p.m. sitting at the computer thinking of you and all the school days and later college days that we've known each other. I still find it hard to believe you are gone. There hasn't been a day gone by that I haven't thought of you since learning of your passing. I hope you are up in Heaven making people laugh, running around and having a grand time. I will never forget you and am sure I will...

Dear Donna,

I was saddened to hear that John has passed away; and wish to extend our sympathy.
John and I worked together at the University of Rochester when I first arrived in the US during the early 1990s. I remember his beaming smile and great humor; he seemed to have a zest for life that few of us do and he was willing to share it with others.
Many of the families from our dept. used to routinely get together, and my daughters have many happy memories from John's events. We...

Dear Donna
John and I were friends since 1st grade.. staying in touch only on birthdays for the last 52 years.. but we never missed in all those years.. We never spoke other than those birthday calls, but it was always nice to know I had a friend. I'll miss John and have taken great comfort to know you were there with him right until the end and not that he was alone.. thank you for all you did.. and my eternal gratitude.. I have strong faith that we will all meet again in a kinder and...

Rest in peace. Hopefully you have a MAC, a Lands End flannel shirt and a pair of Birkenstocks for your next journey.
