John Raymond Bathalon, 33, of North Troy passed away suddenly on August 29, 2011 at his home in North Troy. He was born March 31, 1978 beloved son of Raymond and Lillian (Letourneau) Bathalon.
On September 30, 2006 he married Jolene Tardif who survives him. He attended North Country Union High School.
John was employed as a carpenter for Piette Building Construction of Newport Center, VT.
His hobbies included hunting, playing basketball and he enjoyed attending his children's sports activities and spending time with his family and friends. He was also a Red Sox fan.
John is survived by his wife Jolene Bathalon of North Troy his parents Raymond and Lillian Bathalon of Troy, and by his children: Taylor McMann Bathalon ,Step son , Grant Andrew Blake, Mariah Ann Bathalon, step son , Gabriel Austin Blake, and Lacey Brooke Bathalon. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather Paul Letourneau of Derby and by his brothers and sisters: Marc Bathalon and his wife Sheila of Monroe, NH, Allan Bathalon and his wife Karen of North Troy, Gilles Bathalon and his wife Kelly of Lowell, Emily Bathalon of Westfield and her companion Justin Carpenter, and by numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and by his dog, Jaxon his yellow lab. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Rhina Letourneau and by his paternal grandparents: Ernest and Jeanne Bathalon.
Friends may call from 6-9 P.M. on Thursday September 1, 2011 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday September 2, 2011 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Troy with the Rev. Henry Mlinganisa celebrating a mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Lowell. Should friends desire, contributions in his memory may be made to the John Bathalon Trust, for his children, in care of Julie Willis, Community National Bank, P.O. Box 127, Troy, Vt 05868.
