John was a good buddy and close friend at Alabama College in the 60's. Smart, extremely talented, and had no ego. John liked everybody. He also let me sleep on his couch til I found an apartment after I got out of the Air Force. I really appreciated that. He'll be missed. Fred Cooper

John was a sweet and dear friend. We shared many classes at Montevallo, and many, many happy theatre moments. After college we had some fun times together. He was a great cook and taught me how to cook at my apartment. Playing charades till late into the night is one of my favorite memories with him. He always shared his sweet gifts and created joy as he did so.
John, you are loved dearly and will be so missed in this world, it is a paler place without you! I thank you for the joy...
