Not sure what to say?

Always have a warm spot in my heart for John and great gratitude and respect for all of the selfless things he did to make the world a better place! He was the best of neighbors at Sunset Shore in South Haven and took action to preserve it as a serene haven for friendly neighbors to enjoy! Such an awesome person, our pleasure to remember and celebrate with our memories. Thanks so much for all he was and did to benefit others!

We often comment on what a tremendous legacy Johns kindness and expertise created in our neighborhood. We enjoy a peaceful, friendly neighborhood because of Johns efforts. We will always remember the honorable man and visionary he was with great gratitude.

Rose, I was lucky enough to know him as "Jack" for 55 years. He was an example to those of us who followed him at the Bar of Justice. He was intelligent, diligent, knowledgeable and affable. He was an acknowledged author and expert in municipal law. His ethics, personal and professional, were unexcelled. He was patient with those of us who were less skilled. He had a great sense of humor and always had a smile. I miss him already and will do so always. He was one of my heroes. With thoughts...

Rose, thank you for sharing John with us at MTA. I always enjoyed visiting with you and John. He will be missed but never forgotten!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Rose, and the whole Bauckham family. John was a very intelligent, thoughtful and wonderful neighbor, whom we shall dearly miss. We wouldn't have such a great community in Sunset Shore without the tremendous influence of John and his township knowledge.

Mrs. Bauckham and Family, So sorry to hear of John's passing. He was always so gracious in talking with me. I always looked forward to seeing him at MTA functions. He was a great inspritation to me to learn all I could about township government. All of you are in my heart and prayers at this time. May God Bless and comfort all of you. Al Boggs, Adrian, Mi.

Obviously an excellent attorney, wonderful citizen and loved by many friends and family. So very sorry for your loss. Love to you and yours.

Rose and family. I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. What a great guy and I was proud to call him my friend. He loved township government and was a very kind supporter of mine when I was President of the Michigan Township Association (MTA) He was always available with his great advise and wisdom. He not only helped me but the entire MTA leadership as well.
Every time we would meet, I would enjoy his vast experience on township government. He will be truly missed by all.

I appreciated John's integrity, candor and knowledge many times during the interaction we shared when he worked with the MTA board of directors.
He will be missed by all of us at MTA.
