Dear Dian and family, My deepest sympathies to everyone on your loss of John. He was truly a great man with a unique sense of humor. I loved working the shows with him because he always had a different way of looking at the world. He really knew how to tell a story! I will keep John and your family in my thoughts and prayers.Next time I am with some of my ex-EZ Paintr (Shurline) friends, we will raise a glass in honor of John. Sincerely,

Dian, I am very sorry to hear about your loss of your best friend and husband. My deepest sympathy goes out to you from myself and my family. John was a great guy, loved the time we had up north with you guys and the times we went to your house. He is resting is good place and now my mother will have someone to have a drink with during happy hour. My orayers and thoughts are with you and your family. God Bless. Love Jenny Smith and family

Back in the day when I was at D/A, John took the time to help educate me on the political challenges that I was to face.
He was a great help to me as we tried to drive our private label business together.
He was always a great help to me and I highly valued his counsel.
He took the time to offer his wise counsel to me.
I enjoyed his frank discussions and certainly benefitted from his advice.

There are very few guys like John that come into our lives... I was...

Dian, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Like John I was another one of the "road warriors" in the paint industry. I always looked forward to seeing him at the various shows and of course having a cocktail(s)after. He will be missed but know he is also in a better place.

Sincerely,

Deb & Michael:

I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. Even though I haven't seen him for 40+ years, the picture in the paper is exactly as I remember him (and what a great write up by the way).

He always treated me great as a kid. That much I remember.

Thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Deepest Sympathies

Dian, I am truly sorry to hear of John's passing. He most certainly is in a better place, where too I am certain he will lower his handicap. He was always there with a smile. A great friend always, I will miss him dearly on the " show circut ". My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Sincerely, Tom Forsberg

John, was my true loyal mentor and friend both professionally and personally. He believed in me and for that I will always raise a Manhattan in honor and respect of him (no fruit of course). - Chris Tesmer, Newell Rubbermaid
