If I'm not mistaken, I had a baseball card with John on it back when I was a kid, and I'm 83 now. I always pulled for any baseball player that was from the state of Alabama. I hadn't heard the name in many, many years and was saddened to read of his passing. But gladdened to know that he had a life that long. God be with the family and may He Rest In Peace.
