Not sure what to say?

A poet, scholar, historian, life-long friend and charter member of the league of extraordinary gentlemen. All of our love from the Vaughan family to the Beatty family.

My memories of thirty four years with Davies Biggs/Stoel Rives include many smiles whenever I think of delightful Jean Beatty. Through her, I got to know Judge Beatty as seen by his daughter and he excelled in that role , as he did in so many others. My condolences on the loss of this uncommonly gifted man.

I had the privilege of being a partner in the Martin Bischoff firm, albeit after he had gone to the bench. I got to try a case in front of him, and later got to know him. A class act in every way: smart, kind, fair, even-tempered, and wise. He was an inspiration for my life and my career and I will miss him greatly.

My heart goes out to you-Johnny & Jeanie. So many fun times we all had with you two & Holly & Cullen, The Beach, the Boat & the travels between Patton Road & Hewett Blvd. I will be thinking of you on the 13th. Am sorry that I can't be at the service. Holly & her grandson Landon-my great will be here in C. B. for a very short visit from Minneoplis. I did keep in touch with your Dad & am glad that he is now at peace. Please remember that my door is always open here at C. B. & you will be...

Judge Beatty trained a lot of lawyers (and future judges) in the legal profession by simply being wonderfully fair, incredibly prepared and insightfully wise. I will miss him. (From one of those future judges.)

In 1978-79 I was privileged to clerk for Judge Crookham and became familiar with Judge Beatty's considerable reputation for integrity and intellect. It has been many years since I last saw him professionally, but that impression has stayed with me over the decades. I wish his family the very best.

I remember Judge Beatty when I was a "runner"(summer employment) for the the Court via my father's office of ODOC(Robey Eldridge, deceased.)

Very professional memories about Judge Beatty.

John Beatty was my last living first cousin. I was able to visit with him in person in February 2012. Condolences, from Robert O. Morrison Jr.

I appeared in front of Judge Beatty as a legal intern and then as a public defender before I joined him on the bench. He was quick, learned and always treated lawyers and defendant with respect. He was a great model for me as a new judge.
