Not sure what to say?

Dudley, Sheila and I send our sincere feeling of loss to you and your family. Years and miles don't change feelings for someone you have known for so many years. John will be able to look down on on all of us and help us reach our final goal of being with him and all of our loved ones again. Please call if you need or want to talk. We would have tried to make it to the visitation but just found out today on Frank Kopishes Facebook. All our love,, Dan and Sheila Cole. 515-576-1860

Mr. John Bednar
My Latin Teacher for 7th, 8th, and 9th Grades

It was the fall of 1969 (almost 40 years ago), and I was starting 7th grade at Metcalf Jr. High School. For my elective language class I had signed up for Latin (in part, because my grandmother and aunt had taken Latin, and my mother thought it would be a good academic foundation); Mr. Bednar was my teacher.

I saw the obituary for John Bednar this last Monday. It said he was 62 years old; I’m now 52,...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are so very sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathy to you all. You are in my prayers.

To John's Family,

Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. I had the privilege of working with John for many years as a parent and board member here in Burnsville. He had a great passion for education and advocated strongly for our students and staff. I admired his calm steady leadership even in times of turmoil. He has left his signature on this district, on thousands of students and their families, on hundreds of staff members and on me. We will miss him!

To the family of John Bednar:

Please accept our sympathy for your loss. It was an honor to be with John during his final days. May your memories bring you comfort.

Sincerely,

The Fairview Hospice Team

I was saddened to hear from former teaching
colleagues of John's death. I've mailed a card/memorial but won't be able to attend
the services. Blessings to the family...
