Not sure what to say?

I am Donald A. Weeks and had him as my 10th grade Social Studies teacher during the 1980-1981 and part of the 1982-1983 school years.

I had the pleasure of presenting John with the Herald Amateur trophy in 1969 ... Always a gentleman on and off the course, the golf community has lost one of its finest contributors.

My heartfelt condolences to everyone in his family. I'd known John for 50 years. A fine gentleman who somehow made you feel good after he beat you. I played John in the District Am when he was defending champion. I was 2 up on the front side. Could I possibly beat the great John Bednarski? I thought. He gave me nothing but praise when he shook my hand on the 17th green after beating me 2 and 1. Somehow I felt good. I loved seeing him at the Tusky fall invitational every year. A great life...

Great teacher and person. Always went out of his way to help in school, or say hello in the village. What a voice, he could have been in Hollywood doing voice overs. My condolences to his family

Very sorry about your loss John what is a good man and a friend every time I was with Tuscarora we couldn´t talk good guy rest in peace

What a man and what a loss! He excelled at everything that he embraced and he was a great Christian. Marcellus and LeMoyne will never forget his accomplishments and his contributions, and neither will I. Best wishes to the great Bednarski family.

Please accept the most heartfelt sympathies of Le Moyne College. We hope the love and memories you will forever hold in your heart bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of your loss. My sister Dot Bednarski spoke of John often mostly concerning golf and school. Rest in peace John. Winnie Allen
