Not sure what to say?

I personally did not meet John, but I heard alot about him from his cousin, Lorean. What a neat person he was. Seemed to really enjoy live and lived it to the fullest. May he rest in peace.

I am so grateful for having known John since our school years, and being lucky enough to have continued our friendship in the years since. Some friends and I were in Port Aransas for a vacation, when Hurricane Bret was approaching in August 1999. We helped John board up the windows on his house, then went to his favorite bar to wait out the "LITTLE" storm as John called it. By 10PM that night, anyone who did not own property on the island was evacuated, so my freinds and I took the ferry...

Spent many a lovely day boating with John on his beautiful Chris Craft yacht that he restored to perfection! He was a great friend and we will miss him.

John was a dear friend that always had a smile on his face, and in turn made you smile! WE shared many good times and much laughter together!!! He will truly be missed, but his memories will carry on in our hearts forever!

My prayers go out to the Belflower family during this time of great loss. John Mark was a fine person and will be missed.

I also had the distinct good fortune of knowing John. He was quite an interesting person and a good friend. He always struck me as a wonderful combination of Redford and Eastwood with some Belflower magic thrown in for good measure! Thanks for the pleasure of your company, John. I'll not forget.

Please accept my condolences on your loss. I had the privilege of meeting John the day he pulled into the harbor at Port Aransas from Panama. He and I shared some good times together.

John was a wonderful person and a gentleman. Just like his folks, he always welcomed friends into his home with grace and style. My deepest sympathies to the family.
