I knew John Carley when we were children. He was 2 years younger then I. John Carley's Mom and Dad came down to my childhood home on a Saturday evening to sit on the porch, drink coffee and visit. Sometimes Dollie's brothers came from Texas, bringing their guitars with them.If I recall correctly, Sparkman was their name. On these times, we would build a bon fire in the field, sit around and listen while they played and sang.
