Not sure what to say?

He touched my life with wondrous memories. I took life drawing lessons at Moon Mansion in 1971, 1972, 1973... Went to a couple of his Awesome and Epic theatrical parties. He was Druidic and Magical. Are the memorably 100 foot tall Greek gods and goddesses still dancing across the walls with a silken ribbon?

He was truly the brother I never had, my most trusted and supportive friend in my early years. A confident who never let me down and who advocated for me to my parent. Our lives took different paths after school but saw each other when possible over the years and remained in touch. We loved each other unconditionally and one of my best memories is seeing him at a party he gave at Moon Mansion when Jesuit HS had its 40th reunion and I and some other friends from Holy Trinity days were...

John Bellamy, you're STILL the greatest !

HOW SAD!!! I always imagined Ashley would somehow forever be in Moon Mansion. His muse, Moon Child Gail Shapiro was my dearest friend who invited me to Dallas for the party sometime in the early '70s. What an introduction to his extraordinarily creative brain. This was around the time he created Cosmopoly, which I still possess. I fell in love....with the creative explosion, and Lisa Anne! Last visit was sadly at Gail's funeral. I'd like to believe the two of them are reimagining the...

I remember Ashley fondly from our shared Junior Year in Paris, '63-64. We were the only two Texans there and that gave us something in common. Over the years I visited Ashley at his Moon Mansion some 5-6 times, the last time being in 2013. What a wonderful man, a very special friend. John Bel-Ami. John Beautiful Friend. Georgeann Johnson

A truly amazing, inspiring, fun person. I think of his big white hare who lived in Moon Mansion many years ago. He was knid.

Johnny was always kind to me, and to all! He never judged me or anyone for that matter. He was truly a sincere and delightful person! He will always be a part of my thoughts and prayers. Johnny, never judged anyone!

All hail Good King Bellamy!!

Thank you, Ashley. You have changed my life for the better and will always remember the safe spaces you created for others to express themselves. I will carry your memory and the magical times at the Confabulum!
