In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Carol,Denise,Doug,John Jr.. I am sorry
for your loss. I grew up with John In Pennsylvania. John was very ambitious and always had some kind of deal going. He sold me a couple of cars and a calf (yes I said Calf). We were both Future Farmers of America. Yeah Right, we both got away from the farm as fast as we could. John had a lot of real close friends growing up, and they stuck together thru thick and thin. I know John will be missed, but I am sure his family has many fond memories to look...

Grandpa,
I love you and I am in so much hurt with your passing. You taught me so many things, like how to polish wood and how to drive a lawn mower...and how to fix a tire with a hole in it...and for me it is so hard to believe that you are gone.I remember when you let me sleeo with your Giraffe when I was having nightmares...and how you always gave me money for the old slot machine in your room...those are the good ol' days.Well...I think I have said all I have to say...except for one...

Denise, Doug, Carol and John David ... you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I have many fond memories of John from my childhood, hanging out at the house with Denise. I remember him as a kind man with a great sense of humor. He always treated me like one of his kids. I still can't believe he's gone. He will be missed by all. Denise, you know I am here whenever you need to talk.

Carol, Dougie, Denise, John Jr, and Cindy. I am really sorry to hear of your lost. And I apologize for writing late. I really enjoyed all the times I came to the One-Stop hearing the laughter inside and smelling the scent of the garage. My memories of John will be treasured.

John,
I just need to unload a little bit today, it's Sunday, quiet,& pretty outside.I know you had your hand in on your memorial service, shame on you for making the preacher give the wrong last name. He was mortified & didn't know how to tell his good friend that he had just givin his eulogy. I could almost hear you laughing. Here's to 44 years & counting, gone in a blink. We have done a lot to be proud of in our lives. Love, Carol
