My condolences to Janet and the Bent family. When I heard the news of John Bent's passing, I was flying home to Oahu from the Big Island. Staring into the clouds, I could see John's warm smile and hear his laughter. I remembered the fun times when I was a guest at the Bent's home in Point O'Woods, and John was always the magnanimous patriarch who brought the family together. He will be missed but always remembered for his warmth, generosity and grace.

Janet, I remember when I flew with you from N.J. To Chicago, where you were announcing your engagement to John, my Hotchkiss friend. Very sorry to hear about your wonderful Husband. Fondest Regards, Bob Murray
