To the Berman family - what an amazing humanitarian man John was. May his memory be a blessing. John Spitzler

John always showed up. When he missed a Sunday at church, I always asked him where he had been when I saw him again. He was a pillar of the church.

John was a very special friend of ours. We got to know each other when our families all attended the same church in West Hartford. Our love, warm thoughts and prayers are especially with Laura and his three adult children, Virginia, Emily and Jay. We will miss him and his kindness and his ongoing interest in our family, Helen and Don Hughlett

John, Tom Bow and I traveled to Scotland twice and played some wonderful golf courses. He told us those trips "exceeded expectations."

A truly extraordinary man who helped our family in a crisis as Probate Judge. We'll never forget his kindness. May God bless his entire family.

An expansive heart, a warm smile, a wonderful sense of humor (love those skits!) and kindness beyond measure. These describe our friend John whom we will sorely miss. And Laura, our hearts go out to you at this time of loss.

John was a treasure to all who knew him, and through his charitable works, to many who did not. I am glad I also was given the gift of John Berman through my sister, Laura. My sincere condolences go out to the Berman Family. A good man has passed.
