John Andrew Berry

I only knew John for a little while. I was fortunate enough to move in across the street from him in Hickory in the spring/summer of 95, so imagine my joy when I found out he was also into cycling. I didn't stay long in Hickory, but I'm glad our paths crossed, if only for a short time.

Juliana, Joanna, Ricarda, & Family, My sincere condolences on John's passing. Some memories...he taught and joined in humor, rhythm, intellectual challenge, jumping into boxes on a bicycle, how to navigate downtown, hanging from a cannon, listening for the bell, enjoyment of German pancakes & toys. I am so sorry for your loss. John worked for my mom Fran at Killian Properties for years. Then he basically ran the place when she stepped away in 2012. He was wonderful to our family! I haven't met anyone as nice, helpful or caring as John was to everyone he met through work or in his private life. We already miss him terribly and I am sad and angry every time I think of him being gone. My best to your family and know that he was loved and will be missed. Sincerely, Hume Killian
