John Allen Bevill was given to us on Sept. 26, 1936 and left us too soon on May 14, 2008 at the age of 71. John was born on a farm in Alex, Okla. and moved to Oklahoma City in 1943, attending schools at Putnam City and John Marshall. He joined the Air Force at the age of 18 and served from...

Not sure what to say?

Daddy,
I love you, I miss you, I had a very long entry saying just what I wanted to say, but I delete it, I did not do it on purpose, I am just lucky that way. The short version of what it said is that Wendy's entry described how I feel about you beautifully. I might add something that Jude said to me too; because that is the other thing I really wanted to say. He laughed and grabbed me and told me that sometimes, I make his heart so full of love that he thinks it might bust. I was so...

Hey Dad! We are working on winding this thing down, and I thought I better say a last farewell. For the guestbook of course. Sorry I haven't written here in quite a while. I think about it, and I read it sometimes, but it doesn't seem necessary anymore, just like an opportunity to tell other people how great you are, and an entire book later, I see everyone knows. I think of you all the time. I hope you know and see that. When? Well, lets see....when I see a big beautiful panorama of...

Well Johnny, this is poohpooh head thinking about how many souls you have probably helped cross since you left...tell them I love them, but if they get to hang out with you, they are in great hands...I did get the booth for Steve Melie and I could put the woodwork on display....you made my life richer by having a brother like you.

John was the nicest guy i could have ever had the chance to meet, way back when i was a young un. Yeah. He terrified me the first time i met him! (might have had to do with keeping Katie out all night...) But as i learned over the years, he was the most gentle, teddy bear dad you could have ever had... I'm very sorry for your loss and wish you the best!

-Jim

Well Daddy another year has drawn to a close and you are still missed and talked about as much today as you ever have been. Thank you for all the love you have shown and care you took helping momma raise us girls and all your grandchildren. Thank you for the talks the lessons learned and the wonderful memories we will each carry with us the rest of our lives. Thank you daddy for marrying our mom you couldn't have done any better nor could she have. We were blessed with you and momma and...

To: Johnny's Girls...
What a wonderful legacy my dear brother John left in his beautiful girls. I know it is comforting to talk to your dad. I know you miss him terribly, and will always wish he could call you to see what is happening. The thing is, he does know what is happening in each one of your lives. Johnny probably celebrated yesterday as the second anniversary in his wonderful new life, and only wishes his passing did not hurt his daughters and wife and sisters and...

Daddy two years ago today you left us with a big hole in our heart and lives. While the hole is still here your memories are filling it. I love you and miss you much. We all do. Forever your daughter. Katie

Good morning daddy it has been a while since I wrote but that does not mean I don't think of you daily. What a man we lost when you left us but you will remain forever in our heart and the lessons you taught us. Your grandbabies still talk of you and we do all the time of course. Mom is doing pretty well it is still hard on her and she misses you a lot. We are watching over her and she is kept constantly busy with all the babies on a daily basis. We miss you and love you forever.

Miss you much Daddy.
