Dear Betsy, John and Bruce,
I was deeply saddened by the news of Uncle John's passing. I didn't know he lived and went to school in Cincinnati. Cincinnati will now have an extra special meaning in my heart since my husband and I now live in Cincinnati. I will miss his Christmas letters. He was a wonderful man. Betsy, John and Bruce, my very heartfelt condolences to each of you on your father's passing. I first learned of John's death through the local obituaries this morning. Your parents were wonderful friends of my parents, and particularly our fathers were friends for life as a result of their Dartmouth College/Pittsburgh connection.
