Not sure what to say?

John & Al--

I was saddened to hear about your dad's passing. He was truly kind and friendly to everyone; always looking at the best in people. He would chat with us as we sat in the cherry tree in your backyard. My sympathies are with you & your family as the Lord receives your dad and he rests in peace.

This makes me sad. I remember the Birko family fondly from our time on Way Ave. Mr and Mrs Birko were always so nice. I was friends with their sons John and Alan when we were all little guys back in the 60s and went to Nativity with John through second grade until we moved to Parma. May you rest in peace Mr. Birko. Your family will always have a special place in my memory.

JOHN AND AL AND FAMILIES PLEASE ACCEPT OUR CONDOLENCE'S FOR YOUR LOSS. YOUR DAD WAS VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY ANYTIME WE SAW HIM. HE LIVED HIS LIFE ALWAYS WITH A SMILE. BEING LEERY OF CROWDS KEPT US AWAY FROM THE WAKE BUT PLEASE KNOW YOU WERE IN OUR THOUGHTS . MAY YOU THINK OFTEN OF THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES YOU HAVE AND HOPEFULLY THAT WILL BRING YOU SOME COMFORT ..

. We God bless the John Birko family! Know you are covered by Jesus. John, be our saint in Heaven.we know the rest of the family has greated you at the gates. I will miss you, Till we meet again.

.....and he planted tomatoes for the neighbors. I get emotional just thinking of this one kind gesture, of so many, that John made. My aunts, Helene and Betty Semancik (both deceased) were John's neighbors. They had so much respect and admiration for John in the way he treated his wife, Pauline, during her illness. He was a true disciple reaching out to help everyone. My daughter, Sally, is John's neighbor. She looked at John as a father, he treated her as a daughter. John had so much...

If I could talk to John one more time, I would tell him how much I love you, respect you and feel so much gratitude for always being there for me. John you will truly be missed! Hope Pat and I keep in touch. Love, Sally Koss

My deepest condolences to Pat and the entire Birko family. John was always pleasant and it was great to see him at all of the Slovak affairs in Cleveland. He will be truly missed. With sincere sympathy on your loss.

Dear John and Alan,
We are so very sorry for your loss.
We have such fond memories of your Dad when visiting with Uncle Joe and Aunt Helen Sekerak. He was a Gentle Man, soft spoken and kind. What always impressed us was that he took time to talk to us kids. He wanted to know how we were doing. We will always remember him fondly. May happy memories comfort you during this difficult time.
With sincere sympathy,
John and Jeannette Sekerak's family
Shirley, Susan and Michael
