I knew John from his days volunteering with Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County. He was a real gem!

He started volunteering in 1984 and stopped in 2000. He had 2,224 hours of service and drove 9,183 miles. Wow!

It was quite a pleasure knowing John and working with him.

Pop, I know in my heart that you are resting peacefully now. No more pain. Mom will be taken care of, and we will tell the girls all about their pappy when they are older. we love you and will miss you. Kyle and Amy

I heard so many good stories from John - every time I fly I remember John's advice to me after I told him I would be flying for the first time. He said "Ask the pilot if he kissed his wife that morning." Of course, I asked why. He said if he kissed her, he wants to get home as much as you do. He has always been a great encouragement to me to keep going on even when I thought I couldn't through the hard times in my life. Keep going Carolyn. My love and prayers are with you
