Not sure what to say?

I used to babysit for their daughter. The Blackburns, John L., Gloria and Holly lived next door. Dad (Angelo Granata) died March of 2009 and John L several months later, July 3, 2009. My very late condolences. I was wrapped up in my own grief with Dad's passing.

Dear Members of the Blackburn Family:
Please accept our heartfelt condolences from the Florida State University family. As a fellow alum of the FSU Higher Education program and student affairs professional, I appreciate Dr. Blackburn's many contributions to higher education in general and student life in particular. He will be missed.

Sincerely,
Mary B. Coburn

Gloria and Holly,

I am feeling your loss of your husband/dad and give my love to both of you. Dr. Blackburn made many positive marks on academic institutions. I always remember you two going out for the evening while I babysat Holly.

With love and sympathy,

Diane Granata

What a beautiful gift to the world he was! The amount of lives he touched and continues to ouch is just amazing.
Our hearts ache for you and you will remain in our prayers.
The Lord will carry you. He is so faithful!

Dear Gloria,
