Mr. Blake was one of those few teachers that one never forgets. It was teachers like him who taught us the most in those early years. I will always remember him.

My sincerest sympathy to the Blake Family in their loss. Mr. Blake was a high school teacher that "stayed with you" through the years, not so much for his subject matter but for his commitment and professionalism and his caring about the preparation of his students. I will always remember him as someone who impacted my life.

It has been 35 years since my graduation from Palm Beach High School. Mr Blake's Physics and Calculus classes played a huge roll during my formative years. He was a no bull type of teacher who expected and commanded respect. If more teachers behaved today as he did then, schools would undoubtedly be better places!
Rest in peace sir.

When I was in high school, "Mr. Blake" was one of two teachers I truly revered (and feared) for his knowledge and dedication to making sure we learned what he expected us to learn. He was the epitome of what we call now a "mentor" teacher. As a professional colleague later, I got to know him as "John" and truly missed his wit, presence and knowledge when he left our district.
