I'm Elsie Eads' sister and share memories of Jack as an older, and, frankly, glamorous, cousin. Boy cousins were scarce--only five of them, compared to nine girls--and with Jack's death, only one of the Sherman/Besley grandsons are left, along with seven of the nine granddaughters. We were lucky to spend lots of time on the grandparents' farm. Jack, I remember you, and I miss you! Libby

Dear Wanda, John, Emily, Andrea, and Sherman,
Jack was my favorite boy cousin. We grew up across the street from each other in Washington. He taught me how to dance! I know you will miss him very much. My loving concern goes out to each of you.

I know Dr. Blake only through his patient and thoughtful first wife, Ann, and his children and grandchildren. They reflect his memorable characteristics of a passion for music, intelligence, and being caring and loving.
