I worked at Ochsner with Dr. Blalock . I told him I was from Alabama-Marion , Sprott and Selma. He always asked me if I had been home lately. I knew what he meant. Alabama is home!! My Family is from Perry County and Bibb County. I was very proud to know him. I loved how he wore his surgery scrubs , dress shoes and no socks! My father did the same thing. If his family reads this memory, I hope you enjoy it. He was a wonderful man and surgeon. I was an RN there for 52 years and he never forget...

I often wondered where Dr. Blalock had retired to. He was my surgeon in the 80's at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He was a very kind and caring doctor. My deepest sympathy to his wife and family.
