Not sure what to say?

John always seemed like he had a great sense of humor under the formal quiet veneer he had while working in the Chief Engineer's Office.

One day, he brought in a rum cake that one would have thought he'd need a liquor license to serve!!! He got a big kick out of that, and so did the folks who imbibed! Needless to say, I got the recipe. It's a wonderful reminder of John.

My deepest condolences to your family.

Dear Wilma and family, I'm sad to hear of John"s passing. My heart goes out to all of you who will miss him so very much. I'm reminded of the happy neighborhood we enjoyed at Springcrest. John was such a rallying force in our homeowners Assn. His leadership was pivotal in the harmony that prevailed. It's been such a grand thing to have your friendship all these years. God bless you all. Love, Joyce & Marvin Doering

Wilma and Family, So sorry to hear that John has passed on. I missed the notice or I would have been at the funeral. He is to this day one of my favorite supervisors. With much sympathy.

Dear Wilma, Cindy, Tom, Carissa, Leslie and Don, Janet & family,

So sorry to hear of your loss. We enjoyed our visits with John over the years, especially in Pinecrest, CA for family gatherings! We'll be keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers! With love and deepest sympathy.

Keeping you all in my prayers. My grandma was Marion Rowe Beagles Savage, a sister of Leland Beagles. My dad was David Savage. My mom saw the obituary in the newspaper and commented on how nice Dad's family in Portland was.

Wilma and family,
John was always the gentle and generous personality in the clock club. I'll always remember his help and kindness toward my wife and I.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you that John has touched.

Dear Wilma and family.... John's various callings during his life reflected his deep inner faith that carried him through the years - school boards, elders meetings, Y-Knots and much after I moved but it was most meaningful to again touch base in recent years to the warm and caring person that both of you represent as followers of the Christ.

Dear Wilma, Don, Janet, and family,
We are ever so grateful to have shared so many great memories with John. We had such good times sharing so many Holidays with the family! He was very special and he always had his camera ready! John always had good and interesting conversations. He was very fortunate to be "blessed" with such a loving and caring family!

Don, I'm very sorry for your loss. Love and prayers,
