JOHN BLUMENSHEIN passed away in San Diego, California. The obituary was featured in San Diego Union-Tribune on November 26, 2011.
John was a great sportsman and always a gentleman on and off the playing court. Moonlight Beach was his training ground in the 1970's and on Saturdays and Sundays you would see him there. I will miss the hours that we spent together talking and laughing.

My heart could not be any sadder than it is today. John was such a wonderful man with such spirit. This world, such as it is, has lost a very precious sole.
