Not sure what to say?

Professional trustworthy man that I met when I was 18 while he ran the Eglin Aero Club back in 1976. He and many of the former Air Force officers that I met during this time in my life helped shape my future.

John Bobel was the example of a perfect gentleman on the golf course. As a long time member of the Eglin Golf Course "gaggle" and serving as our "commissar" we all came to know him, apprecate him and respect him. We will now miss him.
John: You are on the first tee of the best golf course ever created. Hit hit long and straight.
Your buds of the Eglin Gaggle

Caralyn, John was a good fiend. I remember all of his "time for poker calls" that kept our poker group going. I am greatful to have known John and he will be missed. Margaret and I will be praying for both of you. God grant you peace

My wife Carole and I were very sad to hear of John's passing. We heard of his departure while on vacation and were sorry to miss the memorial service. John was a great leader and a truly outstanding person. I had great respect for him and he certainly was Mr. Eglin Aero Club. Our condolences to his family, he will be missed.

It is with great sadness that I read about the passing of John. I met him when I became a member of the Eglin Aero Club in 1985. He always strived to make the club the best in the DoD, and I feel he succeeded because he always cared about the membership. I will always remember the great Christmas parties and his special version of the "12 Days of Christmas". May God Bless John and his family.

You and You family are in Our prayers! He was a great man and we were blessed to have known him.

John, Happy landings, Leave a spot at the gate for me, Bing, of Thud Ridge.

I send my sympathies to John's family and fellow QBs. I knew John through the Aero Club and QB in the late 70s and early 80s. Good memories from those times.
To John: Burro QB and may you have God's speed and comfort on your flight West.

I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a dear friend to my late husband Jack E. Thompson who passed away June 2008. I know they shared many happy times together especially when Jack was chief pilot at the aero club and John was his boss and where they became very good friends. I met John a number of times - the last time being in Las Vegas at a reunion. God bless you. I know that he will be sadly missed.
