Not sure what to say?

I met John back in the 80's as young man, and I shared his passion for cooking....having worked in a restaurant for 28 years locally myself. He always was a kind hearted soul, and liked to share with others. He is now, with all of our fallen brothers/artists. It is SO SAD that we keep loosing so many of our talented artists. He will be missed.

So sad to see " Little John " has passed. I grew up with John on Limberlost Trail and went to school at St Joe/DCHS with him. Lots of fun childhood, neighborhood memories. I've lived away from Decatur for nearly 40 years now so missed out on his culinary skills as an adult. Our Prayers to Betty, Ted and families. Nita ( Schirack ) Myers...Quincy, Il

John was a dear sweet friend from DCHS. We dated for a while & hung out with the same friends back then. I lost track of him as we moved around but was very impressed when we moved back to Ft. Wayne & had the Raspberry Chicken at the Oyster Bar while he was working there. He was very talented. I will miss just knowing that he's around. May God take care of him & comfort his family.

I met John years ago through my good friend (also passed) Diane Bir. They worked together at several restaurants--Oyster Bar? Harlequin's? (I've kind of forgotten, maybe Jonell's?) and he seemed like a great guy. I know we all went to some parties together and had a lot of fun. I'm sorry to hear he's gone.

John lived in front of me on lake james and was a great neighbor. I loved how he decorated his yard every holiday,,I always looked forward in seeing his accomplishments.
