I remember the first time I met John Allan. It was on the second floor in the College of Education at USC. He was with Vic and I knew then, in that instant, that I was in the presence of a gentle, warm, and loving spirit. I will remember his smile, his blue eyes, and the way he made me feel. Sometimes there are just no words
to say those things that are deepest in our hearts. We have lost a great friend! John was one of the most unique guys I have ever known. I only had the privilege of knowing him for the eight months that he lived in South Carolina but I loved this guy from the day I met him for "who he was." Caring, kind, gentle, and enthusiastic about the lives he touched everyday in the public schools. John and Vic were the perfect couple! We will surely miss him but...
