So sorry to learn of John's passing! I worked with him for many years at SAS and will never forget the times he pitched for our SAS softball team. :). He was a true gentleman! My condolences to the family.

I declined because I was happy part-time. He approached me again a month later. I met John through SAS, when he hired me to manage an R&D organization. Very early (in fact, during my interview) we discovered our mutual background in music (organ for John, piano for me) and since then, we had many interesting conversations on the subject. I’ve always been grateful that John chose me to join the company, almost 20 years ago now. John was always so happy at the piano. I also remember him when he taught the senior high Sunday school class. Several of my girls loved that class.
