Must have missed this step. John and his family lived down the street from us on College. He lived on 10th and we on 11th. His dad was the neighborhood pharmacist and his mom visited with my mom and others on a social basis. RIP John

Indeed, they did come to honor John Boller on March 4th. Since John loved basketball,today is another good day to remember him. It is March Madness 2018. However, he would have been disappointed in the loss of the U of O girls' Elite 8 game. If there could be 'spiritual'basketball viewing, I hope he can see it. I also hope he found his good high school friend John Schwabe; they have much to say to one another. We all have faith that there may be this kind of connection somewhere out...

Had a lot of fun with John in our Shattuck days. We were friends from 3rd to 8th grades. Played a lot of tackle football in the South Park blocks..."go out 10 steps, cut behind that tree, will hit you with a pass on the other side", that meant we ran into a lot of trees. John and I sold newspapers on the corner of 10th and Montgomery. Hit the 5 taverns within 3 blocks to bug the people to buy an Oregonian, or Journal as they knocked back some suds. John was a special friend for over 50 years. His sense of humor still makes me smile today! He will be missed!

Sorry to hear of John's passing, I would like to offer my sincere condolences to his family. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope. In the days to come may you find comfort in that hope.
