John Bowen was a great man - such a pleasure to know. He had a way that made one feel comfortable and appreciated. He possessed a quiet, confident strength along with a sharp wit. And- he wore the most handsome shirts! Sending love to Mary Lou.

To the Bowen family, and especially Mary Lou; We were so happy to be able to spend the past almost two years getting to know and love John, and so grateful that you chose us to care for him. He was an exceptional man, determined and stubborn and willing to do almost anything to make the people around him happy. John was a very good friend of the Springfield JCC. He worked with us on trips and with our programs - and was always kind cooperative and lots of fun! I didn't know Mr. Bowen. I did however know his sin John who was one of the funnest guys I worked with 40 years ago. Our lives didn't follow the same paths but I see with a dad like this where he got his personality. God bless you Mr. Bowen.
