Not sure what to say?

Aloha! I met John in the early 70s when he was selling his hats out of the back of his Ford Pinto at swap meets in Orange County, CA. He told me about his special New Zealand formula he used on his hats. We went surfing at 54th St Newport Beach and he had a love for Laguna Beach and sold his hats there at a store called Love Leather. From Stephen, Marty, Wally, Eleanor, Maria and all of us who knew him! R.I.P. GOD BLESS YOU!

To the family of John, my deepest condolences. He was an ambitious pioneer. A great spirited soul. He will be missed.

I knew nothing about Mister Brady. 2 days ago I went into 'Bootleggers' a Toronto Western Apparel Store since 1968. At the back of the store was a hat that took my eye. Almost 2 years after Mister Bradys death and here is a truly masterful hat new on the shelf. Such an awesome design from an awesome designer. So proud to now own such a great hat! Thank you Mister Brady. P.S.: My Mother just died 10 Oct 2018 in my arms. My condolences to the Brady family and friends.

I sold Shady Brady Hats for 12 years & repairing them. John Brady was a good man to do business with and took pride in his hats. I never knew about his health. I enjoyed working with his crew in the early days. John rest in peace good friend. Marv, Broncohat

I've worn this great man's works upon my head on 6 continents. I am heartbroken that there will be no more of his work available to the world.

My heart felt wishes and sympathies for those he left behind.

Best boss I ever had!

I am deeply saddened by this news. My heart goes out to John's family. Judy, John sister can now know that her brother is safe in God's arms right now. Judy I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your brother John.

I remember getting to go home early on days that had good swells. He loved the water. He was a great guy and will be missed.
