Not sure what to say?

I hadn't head the news until now, but John and I worked together at Turchin Library while I was in school. I worked with/for him for 2+ years and I often sought his counsel for all sorts of advice, whether it was for working out or relationships, something funny or just to pass the time. I wished I had kept in touch more now. Losing a family member is always difficult and my prayers are with the his family now.

John will be missed.

Ellen and Rebecca and family, so very sorry to hear of your loss.

John Brandao was my friend. We met in a play-group in 1972. We were at Franklin for our freshman year only. After my moving to NYC, John was one of the only friends that I kept in contact with all these years, and looked forward *always* to seeing when home, when we'd enjoy long conversations over dinners. He was extremely bright, generous, strong, had that marvelous voice and his sharp sense of humor. My parents join me in sending our love to his parents and family.

Words cannot be found to adequately express my condolences to your family. My heart goes out to the Brandao family.

Rebecca and Edward,
My heart goes out to you both for the tragic loss of your son John. If words could heal, I would say them, if prayers will comfort, I will say them, if thoughts could bring solace, I would think them.

John was a true stand-up guy who looked out for others, myself included. My condolences and prayers to the Brandao family.

Rebecca and Ed, my deepest sympathies and prayers are extended to you and your family at this time.

Very, very sad news. My prayers are lifted for John's family. I roomed with John my senior year at the University of Texas and we worked together at SRD for free food during college. The four of us had a great time together, going to UT sports, concerts and trying to keep up our grades during our senior year. John was always so fun and a genuinely caring person. He will be missed.

I have very fond memories of John - he was the quintessential "nice guy". My heart goes out to his family.
