I worked for John on the rice farm, back in the1970's, in Gum Cove. I learned a lot about work and life from him. John was a great mentor to learn from. My family helped him tear down the old house in Vinton and build his new home, then we helped him move from Gum Cove to town, where John and Una raised their children. This was a part of my life that I will always remember. I will keep his family in prayer. May he rest in peace.
