Read MoreI was watching tennis this morning and Coach Breen popped into my head. I was so sorry to read that he passed away. My condolences to all his family and friends. I played tennis at Marist and also took a sociology class with him as my professor. He was one of the best men I've ever had the privilege of meeting.

My dad, Jim Walsh, was one of Mr. Breen's best friends in high school. He always spoke of him with great fondness and delight. Dad died September 30, 2008 and since then I've wondered about his old Hackensack buddies. I'm sure the 2 of them have found each other again, along with Jake Egan and Sydney Hasler. Great caring men!

Mr. Breen was always greeted you with excitement when you visited. He was always interested in what you had to say and loved to share a glass of wine with you. I will miss him during the summers, but the memory of him makes me smile. He was such a kind and nice man, he was a terrific to the grandkids in Ca, a very special Grandfather. I loved his enjoyment of life and his family.
