John F. Bremmer, 73, Independence, MO, died Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at The Groves. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Patrick's Church, 1357 N.E. 42nd Terr., K.C., MO 64116, 12 noon, Thursday, October 31, 2002. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m.-12 noon prior to the Mass. Contributions may be made to the Church, The Groves and to the Northland Hospice. John was born on November 17, 1928, in Maryville, MO, and was a Kansas City area resident since 1956. He was a graduate of St. Benedict's College in 1952, with his Bachleor's degree and a graduate of Creighton University in 1956, with his Master's degree. John was a chemist with Hercules Powder, the Cook Paint Co. and the Thompson Hayward Chemical Company. He developed two patents for Cook Paint Company. John was a member of St. Patrick's Church, a member of the American Chemical Society and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by two sisters, Carrie Nelle Bremmer, of Kansas City, MO, and Josephine McQueen, of Montreal, Canada; one brother, Edward Bremmer, of Council Bluffs, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
