A great man, my RB mentor since watching him, studying him at GB starting at 11 years old, "being him" shouting, "Brockington takes the handoff!..." in the neighborhood pick up games, in the 70's...no one wanted to tackle those churning legs. When I was a child, I would play football with my uncles and they would Call me John Brockington. It was the highest form of flattery!

John is a member of The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, and supported many events over the years. He will be missed.

Thank you Brock for being my football hero. I was lucky to have spoken with you several times. You gave a young boy from Green Bay many life long memories. Rest in peace, #42 forever!

I remember how great he was, when he played for Ohio State. That greatness translated well, into the pro game. Power, speed, skill, and excellence in the the clutch. John's storied college and pro careers have never been, and will never be, forgotten.
