I'm so glad that my father had so many special friends and family around him during his last days of his life. I thank God that my girls and I had the chance to see him. It had been many years since we were together. He was very excited and thankful that we were there. We enjoyed every moment. He told the girls jokes, we had some dinners together,we looked at pitures, and I brought him a voice (our local paper) from Algonac, he really enjoyed reading. I have known John for 25 years. John and I use to work together and that is when our friendship began. I can truly say it is because of him keeping in touch with me and my family our friendship continued. No matter how busy he was, he always took the time to call and say hello. He was a rare human being with a great sense of humor. Always laughing, telling his jokes (no matter how many times we heard them, they always made you laugh). My family is going to miss him dearly!! This is not easy for me. It has been 26 long years since I have seen John. We talked many times over the years, sent a few pictures of the family to each other. Yet, we missed so many years of memories, pictures, and smiles. John knew what he wanted and went for it. In the end he faught hard. My only wish, we should have talked face to face.

John A. Brooks was born in Dertroit, Michigan, and was a supportive husband , and a loving father. His wife was Hou-chi(jessy) brooks, and he has daughters, Annemarie Hart, Nicole Tatum, and Annie Lin. He is also a grandfather of Jordan, Chelsy, Joshua.
