As an current educator, not a day goes by where I don't think about John. He lives on in all I do for my students, and I carry his wise words in my heart. John, you were the best teacher and mentor I have ever had. I truly mean this. You are sorely missed by me and so many other people, and I hope to meet you again someday. Sending big hugs and prayers to you in Heaven.

He was one of the very best teachers I ever had, He was always so warm and generous. He also had an amazing sense of humor. I think of him often and fondly.
