My sympathies to you & your family Mrs. Burke. Your husband was my 9th grade Civics teacher at Pickering Junior High in 1965-66. I remember his class as if it were yesterday. He would choose me to go & get his lunch sometimes in the cafeteria-- I was always thrilled to be chosen.
I went on to become a secondary history teacher in Lynn as well. He influenced me quite strongly in the areas of US history & love of country. Some of his teaching techniques I have used in my own classroom. I...
