Not sure what to say?

I recently had sign-ups for Joy Readers and made a board to show our activities. Right in the center was a picture of Jack. We all remember him here at the village, and he is missed at Joy Readers. His name comes up and makes people smile.

I know that Pat and Jack would have celebrated an anniversary this week. He is still missed here in the village, and his name is mentioned often. He was one super good guy. Miriam

I just saw this on an internet post. I am so sorry to hear of Jack's death. He was a wonderful, kind and caring gentleman! I was a student in his first class at Northeast Junior High and then later taught for him at Hanover Elementary School. My love and prayers go out to Pat and her whole family as they go through such a difficult time. RIP, Jack!

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to hear of your dad´s passing. I hope all of memories of him will get you through the days

Jack Burke was a wonderfully genuine, outstanding leader of Education in Bethlehem. His love of children showed in his face every time he spoke of them. They loved him back. he was a wonderful asset to Moravian Village serving as president of the Resident Association for many years. I will miss Jack but am happy his suffering is over and he is in a good place. Blessings to Pat and his family. The photo is Jack with a group of Joy Readers waiting for our bus back to the village. Deepest condolences to the Burke Family. Our daughter was a student at Hanover School from '89-'95. Mr. Burke was her principal and a really nice guy. I remember a number of our friendly conversations over those years. May he rest in peace, and may fond memories be a help at this most difficult time.

Jack was not only an outstanding educator he was a true friend. His desire and passion in helping others was of the highest level. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. My condolences to Pat and the family.

We were sad to hear of the passing of Jack today. He was a wonderful fellow who loved Bethlehem, education, and all kids! We were lucky to have him apart of our community for all these years. Our sympathy to his wife and children and their families. We had the pleasure of caring for Jack many years in our dental practice of Dr. Raymond Haggerty on Market and High Streets. May he rest in peace. Sincerely, Tina McCardle, RDH, The Haggerty family and all the staff who knew Jack.
