I met John and Dee later in their lives. I was always so very impressed with the amount of time, attention, and love they gave to their grandchildren, often inviting them to spend most, or all, of the summer vacations at their North Woods home in Sayner. They gave their grandchildren a tremendous gift--the gift of loving the woods, the lake, and life in northern Wisconsin.

We are all suffering from incredible heartbreak. His generosity and positive vibe will always be remembered and greatly missed. I can think of many times when John and Dee came to support me in an instant - without hesitation - during challenging times in my life. Sending so much love to you all.
