Not sure what to say?

I drove past the Colonial Square home where John and his family lived in Burlington for decades, and recalled a Thanksgiving dinner where, as we were waiting for dinner to be served, John played an Acker Bilk record, "Stranger on the Shore." John played a pretty mean clarinet himself!

Too many good memories to pick just one. Overriding all is John´s good humor and kindness.

My prayers are with you and your family.

John's tireless efforts for the students of the Beaverton School District will not be forgotten. My thoughts are with his family during this time. I just saw him a few weeks ago at the first listening session for the school district and he was excited to be helping to support our students and staff. Wendy, my condolences for your sudden loss. John was always active in Anchorage and with BOMA here.

I had only just begun to appreciate John's passion for his causes as I only met him last Spring. A lasting impression will be my blessing for having known him. Thank you, John, for all you did and all you encouraged. You will be missed.

Thanks for your many contributions to Aloha High School Band and the Beaverton School District. You will be missed.
