Passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014. Beloved husband of Audrey Burroughs. Also survived by a host of cousins; other relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 27, from 10 a.m. until time of Service at 11 a.m. at the Hodges & Edwards Funeral Home, 3910 Silver Hill Rd., Suitland, MD. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
I knew John from our days at The university of Iowa, when we were on the same football team. We kept in touch when I was assigned to work in D.C with the Secret Service. John was a mentor and a person who you could talk and laugh with and who grew up the same way I did. To his family, my heart felt condolences and he will be missed. Donald Tucker
