John P. Byrne

Although I did not know Professor Byrne, I do consider his son Chris and his grandsons Sean and Kieran as very good friends. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the entire Byrne family on their loss.

Professor Byrne was my favorite teacher when I attended SJU as a business management undergraduate from '80 to '84. His classes were always interesting, funny, and real world. The style of management which he taught was all about respect for others. Twenty years later, I still remember those classes and, now that I've owned my own businesses, I've come to appreciate how incredibly wise he was.
