Not sure what to say?

I Googled Dr. John C. Walter today and was surprised and so very sad to learn that he died two years ago. He delivered five of my children in six years. My husband and I have fond memories of him standing over me as I labored and they told jokes. I trusted him to take good care of me, which he always did. Four years later, after we moved to Minnesota, and I was expecting our sixth child, I phoned him for some advice. We had a pleasant conversation and he allayed my concerns, once again. ...

Dear Sue, Chip and Johnny: I was so sorry to hear of the death of both of your parents. There will always be a fond place in my heart for them and all of you. There was just nothing better than getting invited to "hang out at the Walter's pool"! Your Mom and Dad were so welcoming and gracious hosts. May you find the peace and comfort you need. In my prayers, Anne Porter-Quinn

Your dad was my obgny physician and I remember your mom from working in the office with him. They were both delightful and warm people. I am so very sorry for your losses. I especially remember your dad clopping into the exam room with his penny loafers. I can't tell how sad I was when he retired early from his practice. I trusted him with my life. And your mom was a sweetheart and kind soul. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Cindy (Zaller) Thiel

Sue, Chip and Johnny,
I was so sorry to hear of the death of both your Mom and your Dad. What wonderful people they were. Your Dad was such a support to me at so many times in my life. He was not only my friend, but my physician also. Your Mother was godmother to my son Tim and your Dad, godfather to my daughter Meghan. I thought of them often, over the last several years and wondered how to get in touch, but unfortunately never was able to do that. I am certain you have...

I can't imagine how the children feel, the loss is so great. Both Mother and Father in a short period of time. I was a patient of Dr. Walter's for many years. He delivered my third child, was with me through a loss of a forth child, and through two surgeries, one of which had an ultra sound that read cancer--I was 42 years old. I know beyond a doubt that I could have never made it through those times without him. He had this marvelous way of joking and laughing with me while still...
